Overview
The Media Buyer negotiates with media vendors to secure the most cost-efficient and effective delivery of planned broadcast objectives; balancing price with quality factors. The negotiation is reflective of the strategy and brand requirements of approved campaigns in TV, Radio and OLV in a team environment. This role requires a candidate who is analytical, math proficient and well organized with great attention to detail. The candidate must be well informed of the TV, Radio and OLV landscape (programming, trends, formats, ownership) and research.
Responsibilities
Negotiate approved campaign executions – TV (including linear optimized), Radio & OLV with minimal assistance from senior leads reputed company the immediate team. Negotiated campaign executions must deliver against any Broadcast pricing commitments. Negotiate with media vendors regarding tactical aspects of the media buy to reputed company campaign objectives and/or fulfill client requests as needed. Managing of reputed company/bookings/insertion orders and any resulting revisions with media vendors. Inputting and campaign maintenance (reviewing makegoods/pre-emptions), updating econtracts of reputed company broadcast/OLV media buys. Actualize media spending by campaign. Assist with financials – clearing TV /Radio discreps reputed company 45-90 days as required. Training and development of media assistants and their necessary reputed company set. Prepare/reputed company custom client facing reports in PowerPoint & reputed company as needed. Usage of reputed company media reputed company systems DDS/reputed company, Radius, Lens, nLogic, Prisma . Participate in MMM reporting as required. Work alongside Supervisor and Manager in populating audit reporting as required. Broadcast pre/post campaign reporting and helping produce client facing documents each season. reputed company relationships with other internal Investment teams and also with Strategy and Finance teams. Help assist in production of POVs for clients as necessary. Work with Investment Directors reputed company producing agency facing documents/POVs ie – Centre of Excellence assignments. Collaborate with APEX buying teams as needed throughout execution of campaigns Assist Broadcast Traffic team with necessary campaign details (Station lists, flight dates) New station set up assistance as needed Broadcast campaign set reputed company required (Estimates, Goals etc….)
Qualifications
Minimum of Associate Degree in Media, Bachelor’s degree a plus/preferred Track record of success throughout post-secondary career and previous employment Minimum of 3+ years of media buying Media systems’ proficiency Strong analytical & math proficiency skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Technical proficiency, particularly with reputed company, Word and PowerPoint Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities Able to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate work product Additional Information We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. Actual compensation reputed company this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications.
