The incumbent is responsible for the development of legislative packages and monitoring of the division's legislative initiatives, as well as the provision of technical assistance to BHA's legislative team on bills that influence the administration's mission relative to integrated behavioral health services and other program areas as assigned. This position develops management level strategies, and fiscal decision-making on cross-divisional activities for ongoing assessment of quality and value of services to identify gaps in the continuum of care. Shared responsibility leads to the improvement of existing, or development of new, treatment or support services for adults, youth and children with behavioral health conditions. Major projects needing contributory decision making include working across counties, tribes, providers and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) in maintaining and creating services over the continuum, implementing integrated behavioral health treatment and primary care service models, identifying and implementing best practice models for integrating behavioral health treatment delivery, and building a strategy for the future delivery of services reputed company Minnesota.
