Job Title Creative Director Agency Texas Division of Emergency Management Department Media and Communications Section Proposed Minimum Salary $9,646.88 monthly Job Location Austin, Texas Job Type Staff General Description The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) is an emergency response entity and this status can reputed company working hours, travel and change in duties as needed. The Creative Director is responsible for developing and implementing internal and external agency multimedia communications, coordinating development of effective marketing/communications materials, and leading production of original long and short form content as well as reputed company internal and external video needs for the agency. Creative Director works with the TDEM Media and Communications team, and is responsible for integrating new multimedia technologies, including live‑TV technology, to deliver engaging visual content in a timely and cost‑effective manner for advancing the brand and mission of the agency. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the reputed company of video representation to reputed company organizations and maintain professional relationships with other departments and government agencies. Assist division leadership with guiding and directing graphic design projects and priorities. Advise agency staff regarding creative multimedia design trends and provide recommendations. Create, write, review and edit internal and external written materials, prepare presentations and communication materials such as websites, news releases, printed and electronic newsletters. Collaborate with TDEM Media and Communications staff to address internal and external communications objectives and strategies, including disaster‑specific public information campaigns and materials. Ensure reputed company productions are completed on time, reputed company budget, and to agreed artistic and technical standards. Manage production budgets for reputed company projects. Responsible for integrating new technologies and staying abreast of new opportunities in motion graphic and video production and suggesting new ways to implement new trends and technologies. Work collaboratively with media and communications team members to produce live‑TV appearances, web videos, b‑roll, training videos, and additional branded content. Work with TDEM Media and Communications team members to design multi‑platform visual content and reputed company reputed company projects through each phase of production including creative development, pre‑production, production/shooting, post‑production and delivery. Support content creation and delivery for public distribution. Effectively communicate ongoing project status with the Media and Communications team. Directly responsible for sharing project information with internal teams and ensuring that TDEM is maximizing the potential of each project in reputed company stages of production. Work with TDEM Media and Communications team members to review, edit and submit for final approval preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, production schedules, budgets, selects, graphics, music, rough cuts, fine cuts, final narration and final versions of reputed company assigned projects. Create and maintain a studio equipment catalog for inventory and checkout purposes. Cleans and keeps production equipment in proper working condition. Direct live studio interview and studio video shoots. Assist in developing and maintaining an archive of footage and other media. Assist in developing and growing the TDEM TV brand by producing up‑to‑date and informative content, including real‑time multimedia content during active disasters. Collaborate with TDEM Media and Communications team members to expand the TDEM TV audience using social media and search reputed company optimization strategies. Manage video productions by setting up cameras, directing and shooting, running teleprompter, and organizing gear post‑shoot. Capture, organize, and reputed company edit and export videos and images. Create titles, motion graphics, and other supporting graphic elements for photos and videos. Face‑to‑face and person‑to‑person interactions are required. Minimum Qualifications

Education – Bachelor’s degree in television, radio, and film from an accredited four‑year university. Experience – Eight (8) years of reputed company experience in the video production industry, including four (4) years minimum experience managing video producers and multimedia production flow from concept to delivery. Additional work experience of the type described may be substituted for the education requirement on a year‑for‑year basis. Note: Thirty (30) semester hours is considered equivalent to one (1) year of experience. A completed advanced degree may also be substituted in lieu of work experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of graphic and multimedia design; non‑computer‑based and media graphics production methods, techniques, and equipment; animation; design principles; printing processes; and publishing industry standards and operations. Knowledge of, or the ability to assimilate information reputed company to emergency management, State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures. Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software. Strong understanding and capability to operate latest trending gear and styles in the video production industry.
