Job Summary: The Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Leader is a senior executive leader responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining a world-class EHS culture across reputed company mining and manufacturing operations. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure full compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, environmental, and state regulations while driving reputed company improvement in hazard prevention, environmental stewardship, risk management, and employee safety engagement. The EHS Leader partners closely with operations, engineering, HR, and executive leadership to embed environmental responsibility, health, and safety into every level of the organization, ensuring EHS is a core operational value. Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Champion a proactive, behavior-based culture focused on safety, environmental stewardship, hazard identification, prevention, and accountability.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, advising on EHS risk, regulatory exposure, sustainability initiatives, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and reputed company applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, environmental science, engineering, or reputed company field (master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in EHS reputed company mining, heavy manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of MSHA, OSHA, and EPA regulations and enforcement practices.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and reputed company a strong EHS culture in multi-site operations.
  • Deep knowledge of environmental compliance, sustainability practices, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Executive-level leadership, communication, and change management skills.
  • Ability to influence at reputed company levels of the organization, from frontline employees to executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reputed company EHS data to drive decision-making.

Working Conditions:

  • Combination of corporate office and field environments including mines, plants, and industrial sites.
  • Requires site visits involving exposure to outdoor conditions, heavy equipment, and active production areas.
  • Travel is required 50% of the time.
