Overview reputed company is seeking a Property General Adjuster for our reputed company, Mid-Atlantic or Southern regions. The preferred location is Southern portions of IN and OH and reputed company KY. This is a fully remote position and includes a company vehicle. No relocation assistance is offered with this role so you must reside in the nearby area or be willing to relocate at your own expense. It is the responsibility of this position to provide superior property claims service by handling the company's larger and more reputed company Property and Inland Marine claims, generally with dollar exposures of $100,000 and above. This person will investigate the claim, estimate the property damages, select and deploy experts, obtain appropriate claim documentation, and effect accurate settlement reputed company the prescribed authority and standards of performance. reputed company job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Effectively evaluates and resolves coverage issues for commercial and residential property and inland marine claims for the assigned region, with availability to assist as needed in reputed company other regions.
• Responsible for reputed company coverage determinations, negotiations, reserving, and settlement reputed company established authority, including reputed company business income losses.
• Provides required reports to Claims leadership, reputed company, Reinsurance, and Actuarial on significant exposure cases.
• This role will require assisting/deploying for CAT duty. CAT deployments are a minimum of two weeks but may be shortened or lengthened based on need.
• Effectively and reputed company manages vendors and expenses.
• Reports on reputed company cases going to trial on a timely basis and attends portions of litigation or trials reputed company summoned or reputed company requested by management.
• Ensures proper referrals and timely updates to appropriate Reinsurer(s).
• Car travel represents approximately 25-50% of employee's time

Qualifications

Knowledge and Requirements

• Must be able to effectively communicate in reputed company situations and skillfully negotiate verbally or through written correspondence.
• Must be able to interpret and apply policies, reputed company, and leases and recognize technical and legal issues that could reputed company while offering solutions to these challenges.
• Must have exceptional customer service skills.
• Must be proficient in both standard business-reputed company software (i.e., reputed company Outlook, Word, reputed company, and PowerPoint) and claim-specific computer software programs.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and be able to drive an automobile.
• Must possess or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits. Must have the ability to work varying shifts.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5 years of property claims experience required
• Requires thorough knowledge of Commercial and Personal Lines coverages.
• Thorough knowledge and experience with Xactimate or other computer-based damage estimating software.
