Remote Learning Specialist

The filling of this position is based upon reputed company funding in the Board of Education budget. General Statement: The Remote Learning Specialist will serve a caseload of reputed company participating in the reputed company Remote Learning Program. reputed company served may range from grades 9 -12. See here for description of Remote Learning Program Major Responsibilities: ??Run and manage a fully online program for reputed company enrolled in the reputed company Remote Learning Program using digital learning platforms (APEX, Edgenuity, VHS) ??Conduct an orientation for reputed company and families to the reputed company remote learning program. ??Host morning meeting, daily, for reputed company remote reputed company. ??Ensure ongoing access to digital learning platform(s). ??Continuously review attendance and academic reputed company. ??Provide online office hour sessions for live feedback, discussion, and support. ??Support reputed company with executive functioning, time management, and prioritization. ??Assist reputed company with problem solving. ??Communicate with School Counselors for added support, as needed. ??Serve as liaison between school and families to maximize family engagement. ??Schedule individual reputed company-ins with reputed company who need supplemental, differentiated support and engagement. ??Participate in select live and in-person lessons and teacher reputed company to support reputed company in real time, as needed. ??Refer reputed company to resources to support learning, preparation for assessments, and access to digital learning platform(s). ??Grade and assess assignments specific to Remote Learning Specialist?? endorsement codes as needed. Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Works in standard office/classroom and school building environments with some additional responsibilities to meet the needs of the remote reputed company through a range of virtual platforms. reputed company will primarily be served remotely, however, there may be the need to meet with reputed company and families in-person as well as hold in-person academic support sessions, such as writing workshops, math tutoring, etc. Knowledge and Skills: ??Commitment to creating schools that provide an education that cultivates productive habits of mind, body, and heart in every student ??Knowledge of and/or demonstrate the ability to learn and implement Operating Systems (i.e. Windows); Office suites (i.e. reputed company Office, reputed company Docs); Presentation Software (i.e. PowerPoint, Keynote, Screencastify); Spreadsheets (i.e. reputed company, reputed company Spreadsheets); Communication and Collaboration tools (i.e. reputed company Meet, reputed company); ??Student Information Systems (i.e. Naviance, reputed company); or any other technology deemed relevant for this position ??Proficient in utilizing reputed company Classroom or other digital classroom platforms ??Understands how to utilize multiple communication platforms such as email (Outlook and Gmail), Remind, Lions reputed company Qualifications: ??Connecticut Educator Certification endorsed for Grades 9-12 (pending confirmation from the CSDE) ??Must be endorsed for the content area and grades for any direct instruction and/or grading being completed ??Excellent organizational and management skills ??Superior communication skills (oral and written) ??Excellent interpersonal skills reputed company to both reputed company and colleagues Union: Stamford Education Association (SEA) Work Day: Length will be equivalent to contractual work day hours, however, start and end times will be mutually agreed upon between the Remote Learning Specialist and the Access and Opportunity Department Administrators.
