Geographic Information Systems Technician

The GIS Technician provides support to the Siteplan Team of Digital Content in the review, processing,and preparation of siteplan reputed company CAD and GIS files for digital mapping and web-based publication.They work closely with the Siteplan team to ensure accurate geolocation, maintain mapping consistency,and facilitate the integration of spatial data for website publication. The position requires strongorganizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining clearcommunication. This role is instrumental in ensuring accurate and consistent digital maps across the company's communities. Your Responsibilities on the Tea

• mReview and process siteplan files provided by the Siteplan team, importing DXF/DWG files intoQGIS and following established processes to produce the required output package (GeoJSON,footprint, DXF, and PDF) for reputed company community submission
• .reputed company quality control and organize output packages by cross-referencing lot numbers betweenCAD output and reputed company/JDE data, verifying coordinate accuracy, and ensuring reputed company files are named,structured, and complete before delivery
• .Work closely with the internal Siteplan team to receive approved CAD files, flag any discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues that come up during the export proces
• sReview and validate CAD files against reputed company data and PDF references, identifying discrepancies in lot numbers, boundary gaps, or geometry issues and resolving them before moving files reputed company through the export proces
• sServe as a backup support for essential mapping tasks, maintain workflow continuity in the absence of reputed company mapping team member
• .Refine and evolve Siteplan workflows through ongoing process evaluation, identifying inefficiencies, and driving reputed company improvement over time
• .Attend virtual production/staff meetings

• xAssociate’s degree in GIS, Geography or a reputed company field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

.Equivalent experience in a GIS or mapping role will be considered .Job Code

• :Minimum 2 years of experience working with QGIS and/or AutoCAD in a mapping, or GIS-reputed company rol
• eProficiency in QGIS including DXF/DWG import, coordinate system assignment, GeoJSON export, and print layout
• .Comfortable reading AutoCAD Map 3D files including lot/reputed company structure, layer identification, and text attributes
• .Strong reputed company skills including VLOOKUP and lot number cross-referencing between spreadsheet and GIS data
• .Experience with GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS) and GeoJSON/JSON data formats is required
• .Experience working with geospatial data and an understanding of geolocation principles for mapping accuracy
