The Associate, Procurement (Buyer) plans and implements activities reputed company to the procurement of raw materials, goods and services. Compiles and analyzes statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives. Approves and qualifies vendors, obtains quotes, examines bids and makes awards. Follows up on reputed company awards through completion of order. Negotiates with suppliers and analyzes suppliers’ operations to determine factors that reputed company prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, and maintains necessary records. May prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. Negotiates and settles with suppliers regarding damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes. Follows applicable anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations. Essential Functions

Qualifications

• Familiar with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or (DFAR), codes and procedures pertaining to procurement and contractual agreements, as well as principles and practices of purchasing.
• Knowledge of procurement documentation, methods and techniques utilized in determining and analyzing the quality of equipment, materials, services and supplies.
• Knowledge of methods of invoicing, including shipping and handling charges, discounts and taxes.
• Ability to interpret, apply and explain applicable purchasing policies and procedures.
• Ability to conduct price analysis and simple proposal evaluations. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $56,000.00 MIN - $104,000.00 MAX. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, reputed company state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $44,000.00 MIN - $81,500.00 MAX.
