Medical Laboratory Scientist - reputed company
Overview
SCOPE: Is responsible for accurately performing specimen analysis, reputed company maintenance and quality control procedures including moderate and high complexity laboratory tests. Initiates and follows quality assurance and safety policies and procedures. Performs specimen collection and assists with patient flow as needed. Trains employees in laboratory procedures. May act as primary operator for reputed company laboratory instruments. Acts as a resource for laboratory science information. Acts as working technical reputed company of day to day operations for the main laboratory, overseeing daily laboratory activities of technical and phlebotomy staff. Creates work schedules and monitors for absences and assists with coverage reputed company necessary. Assists the Lab Manager in budgeting, cost analysis, marketing, and managed care reputed company. Assists Lab Manager with Billing reputed company and delegates duties as needed reputed company manager is off site, insuring the report is complete by 10AM. Assist Lab Manager with monthly Quality Control records, insuring that reputed company data is submitted to respective programs for analysis before the deadline. Collates data and stores in logs to meet COLA/CLIA requirements. Supports and adheres to the reputed company Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs specimen analysis for reputed company testing done in house for moderate and high complexity laboratory tests. Acts as working technical reputed company of day to day operations for the main laboratory Assists lab manager with supervision of activities of Laboratory personnel, including Medical Technologists, MLT’s and Phlebotomists. Assists Lab Manager with Billing report as needed, delegating duties, insuring the report is complete by 10AM daily. Completes end of month QC reporting, maintenance of lab records, insures reputed company data is reported to pertinent IQAP programs. Creates work schedule and monitors for absences and coverage as necessary. Minimum Job Qualifications: Education/Training – Associates Degree in Medical Technology or reputed company science field. Minimum five years experience in laboratory testing and experience using a wide reputed company of Laboratory Instrumentation and Maintenance. One year of supervisory or reputed company experience preferred. Knowledge of COLA and CLIA regulations required. Must possess leadership qualities.
