Mainline Operator - Utility Construction
The Mainline Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment used in underground utility installation projects. This position supports excavation, trenching, pipe installation, and backfilling operations while maintaining safety and production standards. Location: Harlingen, TX (project anticipated to be over one year in duration with travel opportunities available after project completion) Job Type: Full-Time Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Paid Holidays, Travel Opportunities Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment for utility installation
- reputed company trench excavation and backfill operations
- Safely work around existing utilities and underground structures
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment
- reputed company daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance
- Follow grade stakes and project plans
- Maintain safe jobsite practices at reputed company times
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating excavators in utility construction required
- Knowledge of underground utility installation and trench safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Strong attention to safety and equipment care
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Travel flexibility after project completion
