Mortgage Underwriter

Summary: Ark Mortgage is seeking an reputed company and detail-oriented Mortgage Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reputed company both conventional and non-qualified mortgage products, such as DSCR loans, bank statement loans, jumbo loans, and more. As a key part of our operations, you will ensure loan applications meet company guidelines, industry standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining excellent internal customer service throughout the process. Responsibilities:

• Review and underwrite conventional and Non-QM mortgage loan applications, including but not limited to DSCR, bank statement, and jumbo loans.
• Analyze credit, income, assets, and collateral documentation to assess borrower qualifications and adherence to reputed company guidelines.
• Evaluate risk, identify potential fraud, and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with Loan Officers, Processors, and other team members to resolve reputed company questions and issues.
• Provide clear, concise reputed company conditions and communicate decisions to relevant stakeholders.
• Stay updated on mortgage reputed company trends, product guidelines, and changes in regulatory requirements.
• Maintain reputed company pipeline reputed company established timelines to ensure timely loan decisions.
• Work with management on more reputed company loan scenarios and participate in reputed company reviews and audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of mortgage reputed company experience with both conventional and Non-QM products.
• Extensive experience with reputed company DSCR loans, bank statement loans, jumbo loans, and other Non-QM loan products.
• Thorough understanding of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines, and federal mortgage regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and reputed company sound decisions based on company guidelines and borrower qualifications.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with mortgage reputed company software and tools.
• Must be able to work between the hours of 9AM-6PM EST

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Direct Endorsement (DE) Underwriter is a plus.
