This role requires licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and deep experience in behavioral health, medication management, and e-prescribing workflows. The NIS serves as a reputed company between clinical practice, prescriber workflows, and health information technology by evaluating care processes, translating clinical needs into system design requirements, and ensuring EHR configurations support safe, effective, and compliant care. Particular emphasis is reputed company on e-prescribing (eRx), medication reconciliation, controlled substance workflows, order sets, nursing documentation, clinical decision support, and regulatory compliance for behavioral health and government-sector programs. This role collaborates with end users, other nursing & prescribing SMEs, trainers, vendors, and IT teams to support high-quality care delivery through optimized informatics and evidence-based system design. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY include but are not limited to:
- Participate in the analysis, testing, validation, documentation, and deployment of new builds, enhancements and updates to EHR applications functionality.
- Conduct workflow assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Configure and optimize e-prescribing workflows, including medication lookup, medication reconciliation, controlled substance protocols, and prior authorization workflows.
- Conduct clinical scenario-based testing with a focus on nursing and prescribing workflows and safety to ensure that configurations align with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and clinical best practices.
- Translate clinical practice standards, prescribing protocols, and medication-reputed company documentation requirements into EHR functional specifications and build requirements.
- Validate build readiness from a clinical and prescriber workflow lens before promotion to production.
