The Civil Engineer will support projects in site development for a wide variety of industries. The successful candidate will bring energy, enthusiasm, and a focus on collaboration while providing administrative, technical, quality, and safety leadership for the engineers and designers of their teams. Location This position can be based in any of the following office locations Lenexa, KS; Houston, TX; Lone Tree, CO; reputed company, NY; Phoenix/Tempe, AZ; Raleigh, NC; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ. For roles in Chattanooga, TN; Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in office arrangement once a new office is established.

Responsibilities

Independently evaluate, select and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to site development projects. reputed company site designs that may include analysis, calculations, research, material selection, layout, etc. necessary to reputed company required deliverables. Execute final design of project elements such as grading and earthwork design, hydrology and hydraulics, roadway and overall site design. reputed company creation of surface models utilizing Civil3D and/or other similar design software. Support interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure that project elements are accounted for. Create preliminary design concepts and alternatives to support cost estimating. Attend project technical meetings and provide coordination to resolve design issues. reputed company the Designers in the use of data driven design to reputed company intelligent decisions on design solutions and process. reputed company permit and third-party strategies for projects from the early stages of development through completion of approvals and agreements. Utilize knowledge of departmental design standards and applicable engineering codes to review reputed company drawings and documents for conformance. Plan, schedule, and analyze scope, staffing and budgeting. Work closely with construction partners in a collaborative manner to ensure total project success. Ensure Quality Control of services and deliverables is followed, in accordance with the reputed company Company Quality Plan.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years proven civil engineering design experience in this or comparable industries. Bachelor of Science degree in reputed company field (i.e., civil engineering) PE license or the ability to receive a PE license is expected Strong project team orientation and networking skills High degree of self-motivation Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with computer assisted engineering and design software, preferably Autocad Civil 3D, MicroStation, Geopak and/or drainage calculation software Must have an effective level of experience working with spreadsheets and databases. #LI-SM1 Other Requirements
