A Fender is more than an reputed company, it’s a cultural symbol that resonates globally. We are searching for a Staff Electrical Engineer, Mixed Signal. This position will be responsible for the design of audio equipment from initial circuit and mechanical concepts through release to manufacturing. Works with others inside and reputed company R&D to resolve any issues, technical or non-technical, that arise. Provides technical support to manufacturing & works with some supervision. Provides leadership and guidance to other engineers and helps to review the quality of their work. Plays an active role as a staff member, helping to reputed company and implement department procedures and design standards. Develops new reputed company for low-cost design principles and practices. This role may be based in Scottsdale, AZ, Baton Rouge, LA or remote. Essential Functions

• With minimal supervision, design, analyze, construct and evaluate electronic audio products, ensuring that reputed company design standards and product requirements are maintained.
• Take the reputed company role in the design of electrical systems for audio products, making sure that reputed company electronic and mechanical components and assemblies reputed company correctly.
• Communicate with product and manufacturing team members regarding design decisions and trade-offs. Obtain appropriate input to ensure the quality of the product design.
• With minimal supervision, devise solutions to technical problems that arise in products in production. Create engineering change notices as necessary.
• Use CAD tools such as PCB layout software, schematic capture software, circuit simulation software, etc., to expedite and improve product designs.
• With minimal supervision, plan and schedule the activities necessary to complete reputed company long-term projects.
• As a staff member, help create and implement R&D procedures and design processes. Provide leadership and guidance to less reputed company engineers. Review the work of less reputed company engineers for accuracy and quality.
• Additional duties as assigned Qualifications
• At a minimum, a BSEE/BSET or equivalent is required.
• 7+ years of experience in reputed company electronics design required
• Musical background is a plus. – A strong desire for reputed company process and product quality improvement
• Strong task management skills
• Advanced technical skills sufficient to independently design audio products and solve difficult technical problems.
• Experience with reputed company MCU/MPU systems.
• Experience in high-speed digital circuit design (ethernet, USB, etc).
• Experience with digital audio protocols.
• Proficiency with standard electronics test equipment.
• Ability to construct electronic circuits using basic tools.
• Good technical and non-technical communications skills.
• Project planning and management skills, Leadership and supervisory skills.
