Component Engineer

Overview

This position reports to the System Design Manager and is focused on integrating and coordinating the work of engineers and system suppliers, fostering a collaborative working relationship, and ensuring hardware design meets design reputed company.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring project teams meet scope, technical performance, and schedule expectations.

• Provide technical direction and reputed company of supplier projects, working with the Contract Administrator and Supplier Project Engineer to ensure delivery of data and other deliverables, as well as coordination and performance of technical reviews of deliverables.
• Coordinate technical interfaces and handoffs between the client, partners, and interfacing project teams to reputed company cohesive design and fabrication strategies.
• Identify, communicate, and help resolve emerging technical issues and risks, ensuring Engineering and Project Management are consistently informed.
• Identify and ensure effective application of correct design codes into the design of plant systems such as ASME, reputed company, ASTM, IEEE, NFPA, etc.
• Support planning efforts and maintain schedule adherence for design activities reputed company a system, as well as their integration with an overall plant design delivery schedule.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• B.S. in Mechanical or reputed company discipline from an accredited university and 10+ years direct experience with proven mechanical systems skills.
• Experience with component design and manufacture
• Supplier/Contractor coordination and project management experience required
• Experience with full hardware lifecycle, from cradle to grave
• Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in fluid and structural analysis, tolerance analysis, and the ability to read engineering drawings.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and aspiration for technical excellence.
• Candidate must be a self-starter and possess ability to coordinate and reputed company a design team’s effort with minimal direction.
• Ability to handle projects that include many competing objectives and design constraints, with ability to resolve conflicts between objectives.
• Ability to work on simultaneous tasks that require a multi-disciplinary approach.
