Front End Developer (Hybrid) - 28751
Enlighten, a division of HII, is a leader in big data solution development and deployment. They are seeking a motivated Frontend Developer who is passionate about building intuitive applications and will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining web applications in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications
- JavaScript / CSS / HTML coding and code review
- Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences
- Help define and interact with REST based API’s
- Troubleshoot customer reported issues in applications and providing support
- Write unit tests and conduct quality assurance testing
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Security Clearance - A U.S. Government security clearance is not required on the first day, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenship required
- 0 years of experience with front end software development/engineering and a Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience
- Knowledge or experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (ie: Vue / React / Angular / Backbone) or similar demonstrated competency
- Familiarity with Git or other version control software
- Comfortable working on a *nix command line
- Self-motivation; Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues / tickets accordingly
- Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+) within 60 days of hire
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed
- Previous experience with BDP is a plus
- DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required in this position as directed by the customer
