About the Role
Join our Global Services Engineering (GSE) team, a strategic initiative within the Global Services Organization. The GSE team is focused on designing, building, and operating innovative applications that enhance the productivity of Global Services by effectively addressing customer challenges. Partner with best This role requires deep, hands-on expertise with CDN platforms and Cloud infrastructure, along with proven experience architecting solutions leveraging the Akamai ecosystem.We collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions that simplify workflows, accelerate issue resolution, and improve overall engineering efficiency. As a Senior Product Architect, Own end-to-end problem lifecycle — including problem definition, scoping, roadmap creation, solution design, and execution. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Operations) to design and drive execution of solutions. Define clear success metrics, KPIs, and measurable outcomes to evaluate solution effectiveness and business impact. Architect and design solutions leveraging Akamai platforms, products, and internal systems, ensuring optimal utilization and alignment with business needs. Develop high-level architecture designs, including system interaction diagrams, sequence diagrams, and data flow models. Ensure solutions are designed for reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams for end-to-end solution delivery. Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software design and development, with a strong architectural background. Proven experience designing and building web-based and/or large-scale distributed systems. Strong, hands-on experience with Akamai Technologies products, platforms, and ecosystem. Demonstrated experience architecting, designing, and implementing solutions leveraging Akamai services (e.g., CDN, security, edge computing, traffic management, or related platforms). Deep understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, configurations, and real-world deployment patterns of applications deployed in Cloud. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically. Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking abilities. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience in writing clear and comprehensive technical documentation and roadmap. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
