Dental Claims Investigator This position is national remote. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and / or weekend coverage. We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of training will be aligned with your schedule. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, recover, and resolve dental claims issues, including handling and processing tax levies
  • Initiate and conduct calls with providers to obtain information related to returned checks and payment discrepancies
  • Investigate, manage, and pursue recoveries and payables related to subrogation claims, including file management
  • Process claim recoveries accurately and in accordance with established procedures
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, reimbursement guidelines, and contractual obligations
  • Serve as the dedicated point of contact for Finance teams regarding dental claims and recovery matters
  • Prepare and complete required financial reporting, including return checks, tax levies, and related activities
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all finance-related inquiries from the claims processing team

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of claims OR collections experience
  • 2+ years of experience of VACCN Dental Claims processing
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the dental health care industry
  • Experience working with claims and / or recovery
  • Experience using claims platforms such as MedNet, Facets, and / or OnBase
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of dental check processing workflows
  • Customer service background within dental claims

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly pay for this role will range from $23.89 - $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
