WordPress Developer to Rebuild an Adult Content Website | Hourspent

We want an experienced and professional freelance developer to enhance the functionality and user experience of our already existing adult content platform. This project involves targeted improvements to our payment system file upload processes and platform engagement features. Project Overview Our platform is deployed on DigitalOcean Droplet The WordPress theme is custom and we use AWS file storage. While the site is fully operational we have identified key areas requiring optimization to improve conversion rates and user retention. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate not only technical expertise but also comfort working within the adult entertainment industry. Primary Responsibilities 1. Payment Gateway Optimization The current payment system while functional presents several challenges that negatively impact user experience. You will be responsible for resolving issues with our existing Fibonatix integration particularly focusing on the high rate of declined transactions caused by improper data population. Additionally we require research into alternative payment processors that specialize in adult content platforms with an emphasis on solutions offering broader international payment options and more reasonable merchant expectations for growing businesses. The ideal candidate will have prior experience implementing payment solutions for high-risk industries. 2. File Upload System Enhancement Our current AWS file storage implementation has slow upload speeds that create friction for content creators. You will optimize this process by implementing technical improvements such as transfer acceleration or chunked uploads while maintaining the existing AWS infrastructure. A critical requirement is developing a background upload queue that allows users to continue browsing the platform during file transfers accompanied by clear progress indicators. 3. Platform Activity Simulation As a newer platform we need to create the perception of active engagement to improve user retention. This involves developing tasteful believable indicators of platform activity without misleading users. Examples include displaying randomized purchase notifications and expanding our existing social media auto-posting functionality. The implementation should be subtle and avoid any appearance of artificial inflation that might violate platform guidelines.
