Junior Art Director
Mekanism is a full-service modern agency known for its innovative approach to creativity. They are seeking a Junior Art Director who will work closely with a copywriter and a cross-functional team to deliver creative concepts and multi-channel programs, while maintaining high creative standards and staying updated on industry trends.
Responsibilities
- Generate strong concepts and champion ideas with enthusiasm
- Partner with Copywriter to develop creative concepts that meet the project's overall objectives
- Work closely with Creative Directors, Account Services, Strategy and Delivery teams from briefing through to production
- Contribute to raising the overall creative standards for the agency through effective and award winning work
- Keep up to date with new innovations & technologies, evolving industry, cultural and social trends to ensure our clients benefit from ideas relevant to the target audience and improved creative output
- Ensure messaging is consistent with client goals
- Ensuring concepts contain tasteful, creative & beautifully crafted art direction with attention to detail
- Prepare and refine concepts for internal and client presentations
- Support other teams on their creative briefs
- Be a strong contributor at brainstorming and creative planning sessions
- Be solutions oriented and a true team player
- Be comfortable working in an integrated agency environment
Skills
- 0-3 years experience in an agency environment
- Be well versed in social content
- Excellent creative conceptual thinker
- A good listener, strong conceptual skills and ability to handle and learn from constructive criticism
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Adapts well to changing priorities, deadlines and direction
- Comfortable working in a busy and fast-paced environment
- Passion for creating breakthrough creative that gets results
- Undergraduate diploma or degree in design, marketing or equivalent
