Professional Software Engineer (gn) – PHP (B2B Commerce)

As a Software Engineer, you will work on modern, scalable applications and services within a cloud-based system landscape. Together with our development team, you will contribute to the evolution of digital products, improve existing solutions, and implement new features that are used by a large and growing user base. You will build and maintain backend services using PHP 8, Symfony, and AWS while working with modern technologies such as APIs, event-driven systems, and containerized applications. Collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders, you will help deliver reliable solutions and contribute your ideas to continuously improve our products and processes. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a collaborative environment. To ensure smooth collaboration, we require a current primary residence in Germany for this position. Your mission You develop and enhance modern backend applications and services You build microservices, APIs, integrations and new features across our system landscape You work with event-driven technologies (AWS SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Lambda) You contribute to technical concepts and solution design You ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and clean architecture principles You collaborate closely with Product and cross-functional teams You actively participate in knowledge sharing within the Engineering team Your experience & skills You have practical experience with PHP and frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel You are familiar with modern software architectures and event-driven systems You have some experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS You have experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD processes You have a structured, solution-oriented, and collaborative way of working You actively use AI tools in your daily development work and understand their effective application You have very good English skills, German is a plus Why choose us?
