Senior Mobile & Backend Developer — Healthcare App (Remote, U.S.-Based)

Where we are right now We're a growing company at an important turning point. Up to now we've outsourced our development overseas, and while that got us this far, we've decided it's time to bring everything in-house and build a real, full-time, U.S.-based team. This new development team will join our established IT company — so you'll be part of a bigger, stable organization, not a startup of one. As a small, rural-based company, our rates run leaner than big-city firms — but you get steady, long-term work, a low-ego team, and a direct line to a founder who values you. We want developers who are close to the work, invested in the product, and here for the long haul. This is a rare chance to get in early and help shape that team from the ground up — with a technical founder (a hands-on technologist, though not a developer myself) who genuinely values good engineers and keeps a friendly, low-ego environment. The role We're looking for one exceptional developer to own our Flutter mobile app and its Laravel/MySQL backend. You'll work from home day to day, but you'll be a true member of the team — not a faceless contractor. We begin with an immediate contract engagement. Once you've proven your skills on the actual work, we move you into a permanent, full-time staff position. It's a fast, fair tryout that protects both sides. What you'll do

• Build and maintain our Flutter mobile app (iOS + Android)
• Develop and maintain our Laravel backend and MySQL database
• Integrate and work with AI/LLM services (OpenAI and similar)
• Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, ship, support
• Work independently while staying in clear, friendly communication with a non-developer founder

• Expert-level, verifiable Flutter experience — production apps shipped to the App Store and Google Play
• Expert-level, verifiable Laravel experience — production backend/API development
• Expert-level, verifiable MySQL experience — database design, queries, and optimization
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM services — OpenAI preferred
• You must currently reside in the United States and provide a verifiable U.S. home address
• 5+ years of professional development experience. This is not an entry-level or junior role.
