The agency may terminate or modify the telecommuting arrangement at any time Description This is an exciting opportunity to join the Division of Program Integrity in the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities to addiction treatment and recovery residence services across Kentucky. In this role, you will work with providers throughout the state to support licensure and certification requirements and help programs understand and follow state regulations. This position offers meaningful work, opportunities to work directly with community providers, and the change to help strengthen treatment and recovery services across the Commonwealth. This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non-merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Conduct inspections of substance use treatment programs and recovery residences. Review applications for licensure and certification. Schedule and complete on-site inspections across and assigned region. Provide guidance to providers about licensure and certification requirements. Explain state regulations, policies, and compliance expectations. Respond to complaints and conduct unannounced inspections when needed. Review plans of correction and follow up to ensure issues are resolved. Document inspection findings and compliance activities. Make recommendations to leadership regarding approvals, improvements, or enforcement actions. Provide testimony in administrative or legal proceedings when required. The ideal candidate would have: Knowledge of SUD treatment programs and recovery housing. Basic understanding of state rules and regulations. Ability to review applications and program documents. Skill in organizing and tracking program data. Ability to use computer systems and online databases. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide clear guidance and technical assistance. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work professionally with providers, staff and the public. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college of university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of professional experience in emergency medical services, a health/human services program or two years of experience in inspection/investigative work or a combination of both or a related field. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional professional training in health services, human services, social work, or a related field will substitute for the experience on a year for year basis. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in the above fields, or a related field, will substitute for the required college on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an office setting. Investigates complaints and provides consultation to health and social service providers. Some travel is typically required.
