Our client, a leader in immersive digital experiences, is seeking a talented and visionary Remote Senior 3D Modeler to create stunning virtual environments. This is a fully remote position, perfect for an artist who thrives in a collaborative yet independent work setting. You will be responsible for crafting high-fidelity 3D models of environments, props, and architectural elements for use in virtual reality, augmented reality, and interactive simulations. Your work will bring virtual worlds to life, requiring an exceptional eye for detail, composition, and lighting. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in polygonal modeling, UV mapping, texturing, and rendering. You should be proficient in industry-standard 3D software such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or Cinema 4D. Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity is a significant plus. You will collaborate closely with art directors, level designers, and technical artists through virtual communication channels to ensure artistic vision and technical requirements are met. Responsibilities include optimizing models for real-time rendering, ensuring performance across various platforms, and contributing to the development of efficient asset pipelines. This role requires a deep understanding of PBR workflows and material creation. A passion for storytelling through environment design and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of virtual world creation are highly valued. You will work on diverse projects, contributing to narratives and user experiences that captivate and engage audiences. Responsibilities: Create high-quality, detailed 3D models of environments, props, and architectural elements. Develop and apply realistic textures and materials using PBR workflows. Optimize 3D assets for real-time rendering in game engines and VR/AR applications. Ensure models meet technical specifications and performance requirements. Collaborate with art directors and designers to achieve project goals and maintain artistic vision. Participate in virtual team meetings and provide/receive constructive feedback. Research and implement new modeling techniques and technologies. Contribute to the development and refinement of asset creation pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve any modeling or texturing issues. Maintain a strong understanding of current industry trends in 3D art and virtual environments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Digital Art, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a 3D Modeler, with a focus on environment art. Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional 3D modeling, texturing, and UV mapping skills. Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max). Experience with texturing software (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop). Familiarity with game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity is a strong advantage. Understanding of PBR workflows and material creation. Excellent eye for detail, composition, lighting, and color theory. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
