In this role, you will support a portfolio of clients by managing their employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance, and delivering a high level of service throughout the policy lifecycle. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in group benefits, and enjoys building strong client relationships while managing multiple accounts. Responsibilities: Prepare renewal and marketing reports comparing employee benefits plans, coverage options, and costs Assist with annual open enrollment meetings and client presentations Draft and distribute client communications, including correspondence and compliance notices Calculate employee contributions and develop contribution strategies aligned with client budgets Collect and organize new client information and onboarding documentation Assist with group applications, policy changes, and terminations Support client employees with benefit questions and claims resolution Oversee enrollments, terminations, and COBRA/Cal COBRA notifications Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA, and applicable state/federal laws Collaborate with internal teams and perform additional duties as needed Qualifications: Active California Life/Health license (required or ability to obtain) Minimum 3+ years of experience in small and/or large group benefits account management Strong knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated and able to work independently Experience in using Employee Navigator Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred Spanish bilingual skills are a plus Compensation: $60,000 – $85,000 annually (negotiable based on experience) Bonus and commission opportunities This is a remote position.
