Who We are Looking For We are looking for a web app software developer specializing in frontend technologies to build and maintain Ava’s EMR system. Developers work closely with Product Development, DevOps, and Customer Support teams to address product needs. In addition to having a strong understanding of Javascript, this role requires an understanding of the Ruby on Rails framework. Candidates will be given a take home exam that will have them start up and maintain a simple Ruby on Rails application, and demonstrate their understanding of how Ruby on Rails handles frontend technology.
What You'll Do
This role will have the following responsibilities: Work with the Product, Development, and DevOps teams to develop and maintain the EMR built on Ruby on Rails Improve and maintain testing infrastructure Participate and provide support in Agile Scrum activities Write and maintain technical documentation What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience with any web app framework, including writing and maintaining tests Strong understanding of Javascript, HTML, CSS Understanding of User Experience design heuristics A background in design (UX/UI, graphic) is an asset Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences Ava places an emphasis on coachability, teamwork, and collaboration skills Experience with healthcare systems preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits $75,000 - $100,000 / year Health Benefits & Health Spending Account 4 weeks vacation + 1 week between Dec 25th to Jan 1 Work from anywhere in Canada (fully remote) Other Benefits of Joining Ava Make a real difference in the healthcare industry Be part of a dynamic and supportive team, with a large emphasis on culture Opportunities for professional growth and development Other Requirements 2 references (professional or academic) Proof of education Start date: ASAP/Immediate To Apply Please submit your resume and cover letter.
