About Convertive Convertive is an in-session AI engine that helps ecommerce brands convert anonymous website traffic into buyers in real time. Most marketing tools chase shoppers after they leave. Convertive helps brands act while the shopper is still on the site by using live behavioral data to predict intent, personalize the session, and trigger the next best action across web, checkout, email, SMS, and ads. We are currently expanding our e-commerce network in New York and are looking for a part-time operator to help us connect with DTC brands, Shopify agencies, e-commerce operators, and growth leaders. Backed by genera8tor, Gateway Capital Partners, and industry experts from Amazon, Clorox, and more, Convertive is a growing player in e-commerce innovation. Our solutions are designed to deliver seamless, data-driven interventions for maximizing revenue and enhancing the customer experience. Role Overview We are hiring a part-time Ecommerce Growth & Partnerships Scout to help Convertive build relationships with ecommerce brands and agencies in NYC. This is not a traditional door-to-door sales role. Your job is to help us identify the right ecommerce companies, find the right decision-makers, start conversations, validate interest in private ecommerce roundtables, and book short discovery calls. You will work directly with the founder on early go-to-market, outbound strategy, event development, and customer discovery. This is a strong fit for students interested in startups, e-commerce, sales, growth, venture-backed companies, marketing technology, or AI. What You’ll Do

  • Research NY-based DTC and ecommerce brands in beauty, apparel, fashion, home, lifestyle, pet, wellness, outdoor, and consumer products.
  • Identify decision-makers such as founders, Heads of Ecommerce, VP Growth, Marketing Directors, Retention Leads, CRM Leads, and agency founders.
  • Build lead lists with company name, website, LinkedIn profiles, role, location, ecommerce stack clues, and personalized notes.
  • Reach out through LinkedIn, email, campus networks, and local ecommerce communities.
  • Book short 15-minute discovery calls with qualified e-commerce operators.
  • Help invite local operators to small private dinners, coffee meetups, or roundtables hosted by Convertive.
  • Map Shopify, Klaviyo, CRO, paid media, and retention agencies in NY.
  • Visit selected brand showrooms, pop-ups, or local retail locations only when useful to identify the right e-commerce/digital contact.
  • Track outreach, replies, objections, meetings, and notes in a shared CRM or spreadsheet.
  • Share weekly feedback on what messaging gets replies and what NY ecommerce brands care about.

Ideal Candidate

  • Current student or recent graduate from NYU, Columbia, Baruch, FIT, Cornell Tech, Fordham, or a similar school.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Interested in startups, ecommerce, AI, DTC brands, sales, marketing, or growth.
  • Comfortable reaching out to founders and e-commerce operators.
  • Organized and able to maintain clean lead lists.
  • Comfortable attending local ecommerce/networking events if needed.
  • Bonus if you have experience in sales, campus ambassador work, ecommerce, retail, marketing, startups, or event organizing.
  • Background in marketing, business development, or a related field is preferred
