Job Summary

We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our overnight support team, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing loan applications, and providing exceptional support to our clients. Responsibilities and Duties

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Handling inbound and outbound calls from customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Consistently and accurately documenting all information pertaining to customer accounts, including loan applications and payment arrangements
  • Using basic business math to solve problems and make informed decisions
  • Speaking clearly, concisely, and effectively, listening to, and understanding information and ideas as presented verbally
  • Maintaining a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism when speaking to customers
  • Following written and/or verbal instructions, working within the laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
  • Processing card payments accurately and efficiently
  • Performing the initial approval of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications through multiple software systems
  • Reviewing applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan
  • Following up with customers to clarify important points and finalize loan details
  • Remaining up-to-date regarding lending and other financial services
  • Creating and renewing records
  • Identifying customer needs, exploring all options availability to customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and change quickly with the needs of the company
  • Ability to multi-task by speaking with customers and typing notes simultaneously
  • Meeting monthly individual goals as set by management

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations
  • Proficient with technology, especially computers, software applications, and phone systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions

Preferred Education and/or Experience

While a minimum of a High school diploma/GED is required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a financial institution or related field
  • Strong knowledge of lending and financial services
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Technical Skills

You'll need to be proficient in:

  • MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Internet and cloud-based storage
  • Multiple software systems, including loan processing and customer relationship management tools

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

As a remote Customer Service Representative, you'll need to:

  • Be able to sit for long periods of time, talking, and listening constantly
  • Work a 3rd shift schedule, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • Be fully remote after the initial 1-week training period, which will be conducted in-person from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
