AI Governance Technical Expert

In this role, you will support certification audit teams by providing deep technical expertise across AI lifecycle governance, model oversight, data governance, and enterprise risk management. Working in a fully remote environment, you will help assess complex AI Management Systems within SaaS and enterprise organizations while operating under strict independence and impartiality standards. The position is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with a passion for ethical AI governance and structured compliance frameworks. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary audit teams, review technical evidence, and contribute to the integrity of globally recognized AI certification processes. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of emerging AI governance standards while participating in a highly specialized and evolving field. Accountabilities

• Support certification audit teams by providing technical expertise on AI governance, model lifecycle oversight, data governance, and enterprise risk integration.
• Review technical artifacts including governance documentation, validation records, lifecycle evidence, system descriptions, and organizational controls.
• Participate in audit interviews and discussions related to AI development, deployment, monitoring, validation, and governance practices.
• Assist in evaluating alignment with AI risk management principles and internationally recognized governance frameworks.
• Contribute objective, structured technical analysis to support audit findings while maintaining strict role boundaries and impartiality requirements.
• Operate within established conflict-of-interest and independence policies, including periodic attestations and compliance reviews.
• Participate in accreditation body witness audits when assigned, demonstrating technical competence within regulated audit environments.
• Support continuous quality and competence improvement through ongoing performance evaluations and technical reviews.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in AI governance, data governance, model risk management, cybersecurity governance, enterprise risk, or related technical oversight disciplines.
• Strong understanding of AI lifecycle governance, including model validation, data controls, human oversight, monitoring, and documentation management.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS environments, organizational governance structures, and risk-based oversight practices.
• Ability to evaluate technical evidence objectively and contribute disciplined audit-support analysis rather than advisory recommendations.
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.
• High level of professional integrity and commitment to impartiality, independence, and ethical standards.
• Comfortable working in highly structured compliance and audit environments with clearly defined operational boundaries.
• Experience with AI risk management principles, enterprise governance frameworks, or compliance standards is highly valued.
