Job Summary We are seeking a creative, fast, and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team in a full-time remote role. In this position, you will take raw footage from job sites, client meetings, showroom content, home tours, interviews, and company updates, and turn it into engaging video content for social media platforms. The ideal candidate understands short-form content and knows how to create strong hooks, clean edits, captions, transitions, music, and pacing for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other digital channels. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, responsive, and able to work quickly while maintaining quality and brand consistency. Core Responsibilities
- Edit raw footage into engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social media platforms
- Create clean, polished edits with strong pacing, hooks, captions, music, transitions, and visual flow
- Edit project updates, job site footage, home tours, client testimonials, interviews, showroom content, and behind-the-scenes videos
- Repurpose longer footage into multiple short-form clips for different platforms
- Add subtitles, graphics, text overlays, logos, and basic motion elements as needed
- Prepare videos in the correct formats, dimensions, and lengths for each platform
- Organize and manage video files, project files, exports, and raw footage
- Collaborate with the marketing and leadership team to maintain brand style, tone, and messaging
- Follow creative direction while also bringing ideas to improve social media performance
- Join daily virtual check-ins and provide clear updates on editing progress
- Complete revisions efficiently based on team feedback
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a video editor, content editor, or social media video editor
- Strong understanding of short-form content for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms
- Experience editing social media videos with captions, music, transitions, hooks, and text overlays
- Proficiency with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar software
- Good sense of pacing, storytelling, visual flow, and current social media trends
- Ability to turn raw footage into polished, engaging, platform-ready content
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Good English communication skills, written and verbal
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely during PST hours
- Organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple editing tasks at once
Nice to Have
- Experience editing real estate, architecture, construction, home design, lifestyle, or luxury brand content
- Experience with motion graphics, basic animation, or After Effects
- Ability to create simple thumbnails, cover images, or social graphics
- Familiarity with social media performance trends and content hooks
- Experience using AI tools for captions, editing support, scripting, or content repurposing
