Community Recovery Manager, Hurricane Helene & Milton Long-Term Recovery Operation

The American Red Cross is seeking a Community Recovery Manager for the Hurricane Helene & Milton Long-Term Recovery Operation. Develop and implement strategic plans for the long-term recovery operation in the affected communities. Manage and lead a team of volunteers and staff to ensure efficient and effective delivery of recovery services. Identify and assess the needs of the affected communities and develop appropriate recovery programs and initiatives. Collaborate with local government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate and maximize resources for recovery efforts. Monitor progress and evaluate the impact of recovery programs, making adjustments as needed. Ensure compliance with Red Cross policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations. Develop and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners to secure funding and support for recovery initiatives. Provide support and guidance to individuals and families affected by the hurricanes, including assistance with accessing resources and navigating the recovery process. Collaborate with other Red Cross departments and teams to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to community recovery. Stay up-to-date on disaster recovery best practices and incorporate them into the operation as appropriate. Prepare and submit reports and updates to the Red Cross leadership team and external stakeholders. Represent the Red Cross in meetings, events, and media engagements related to the recovery operation. Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members and volunteers involved in the recovery operation. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all recovery activities.
