Event Managers/Baker's Best Catering

Baker’s Best Catering has over 35 years of experience providing customers with superior food and amazing service for both corporate and social events. Our commitment to quality, service and food safety are unmatched. Bakers’ Best Catering is currently looking for reliable part-time/on call Event Managers to work at private events that range in size and location throughout the Boston area. Our event staff attends to all customer needs during service and provides excellent customer service skills. This position is great for someone looking for a flexible schedule that includes day/evening and weekend availability. Event Managers are expected to be the first person on-site to Baker's Best Catering for all events. They are responsible for reviewing the event information prior to their shift and taking ownership of both the details and presentation of the event on-site and overall execution. They also must obtain final liquor inventory and ensure all rented items are accounted for. Tasks:

• Assist with unloading/loading vans
• Setting up and breaking down tables/chairs
• Setting tables with place settings
• Clearing tables
• Passing Hors d’oeuvres/drinks
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned stations and service areas.
• Uphold the highest level of timely customer service.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of previous event management experience in a hospitality setting; preferably with off-site catering events.
• Dependable with strong work ethic
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
• Must possess a positive attitude
• Passionate about food and hospitality business.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Carrying or lifting to 30lbs
• Bending, stopping, and kneeling required
• Ability to carry out company policies and procedures
• Ability to take direction and work calmly under pressure
