Sales Applications Engineer - Custom Air Handlers - Commercial HVAC - Alliance Air Products

Alliance Air Products, a member of Daikin Group. Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Alliance Air Products, a division of Daikin Applied is seeking a new Sales Applications Engineer with focus on our custom Commercial Air Handlers. This role will provide technical expertise including design on commercial HVAC products. Provides strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace and will interact with customers to effectively demonstrate value of company product lines. Location: San Diego preferred though open to a remote position. Some travel to customers, the San Diego office and manufacturing facilities in Tijuana, Mexico. What you will do:

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing.
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Assess processes to meet those needs.
• Process requests for modifications or options and other information not covered by published pricing.
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace.
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application.
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers.
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes.
• Provide leadership and direction within sales and engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' related experience.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and AutoCAD/3D Application experiences.
• Experienced in blueprint and technical document review with ability to understand and read technical details from prints, drawings, and other documents.
• Independent analysis and judgment skills, using prior experience and knowledge to resolve non-standard problems.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

Pay Transparency Verbiage The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 - $143,000 on a national level. The typical salary for this position ranges from $97,000 - $150,000 in San Diego. Depending on the level of role, may be eligible for a 10% bonus incentive plan. The range displayed represents the pay range for positions in the job grade which this position falls.
