The ServiceNow Architect combines strategic platform architecture with hands-on configuration and data modeling expertise to support digital transformation and ITSM modernization efforts. The architect ensures alignment with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and best practices while driving innovation and operational efficiency in a healthcare environment supported by a Managed Service Provider (MSP). Responsibilities

Architecture & Strategy: Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and custom solutions, focusing on ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, SPM and HRSD modules. Define and enforce architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices for ServiceNow implementations. Develop strategic roadmaps aligned with enterprise goals and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH). Deliver architecture documentation, including system diagrams, data dictionaries, and integration models. Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and ISO/NIST standards. Healthcare Integration: Architect integrations with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (Epic), Active Directory, and other healthcare platforms. Ensure platform compliance with PHI/PII data handling standards and healthcare regulations. Partner with network, infrastructure, and cloud teams to ensure accurate data exchange between ServiceNow and systems like Azure, VMware, Solarwinds, and other monitoring platforms. Platform Development & Optimization: Lead customization efforts using Glide APIs, Flow Designer, UI Builder, and scoped applications. Oversee platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning to maintain optimal functionality. Architect integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems (e.g., network operations, Workday, Sailpoint, asset management) using APIs, IntegrationHub, and data pipelines. Create data mapping, normalization, and reconciliation strategies for CMDB and dependent systems. Support data-driven automation initiatives, leveraging AI Ops, Predictive Intelligence, and event correlation tools. Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor ServiceNow development teams in scripting, workflow design, and data architecture best practices. Collaborate with solution owners to define data governance, lifecycle management, and schema design standards. Work closely with MSP teams to ensure daily support and development activities align with architectural vision. Present technical solutions and architectural recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Governance & Documentation: Establish governance frameworks for data integrity, access control, and system configurations. Produce detailed architecture diagrams, workflows, and implementation guides. Participate in solution design meetings and approve technical solutions. Drive ServiceNow transformation by embracing continuous learning, deepening expertise, and delivering innovative, future-ready solutions.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required Experience: 8+ years of progressive IT experience 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role Strong hands-on experience with data modeling and configuration item (CI) relationship mapping within ServiceNow CMDB Licenses & Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) required At least two Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Certifications required ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) required ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) preferred Skills & Abilities: Proven experience in healthcare IT environments or with healthcare clients Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH) Experience with ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB, HAM/SAM, SPM Strong integration experience with REST/SOAP APIs, LDAP, and EHR systems Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps pipelines for continuous delivery Knowledge of CSDM, domain separation, and multi-tenant architecture Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business solutions Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics, reporting, and dashboard design Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and security best practices Apply To This Job
