Cytogenetics Analyst - US Remote

Labcorp Oncology is seeking a remote Cytogenetics Technologist to join our team that’s based in Phoenix, Arizona! The position will focus primarily on analysis of routine blood chromosomes utilizing the Applied Spectral Imaging software. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Responsibilities: Perform analysis of chromosomes, which includes imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results Perform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as needed Comply with company policies and procedures Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology 2 years of experience working in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory 1 year of experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images 1 year of experience in Oncology cytogenetics ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG) Additional Job Standards: Computer skills; must be able to effectively use the Internet, email, text messaging, chat applications, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Salary Range: $25 - $45/hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Work Location: Remote based in US Work From Home Requirements: Home office space must be a dedicated room that isn’t shared and meets HIPAA compliance. Must agree to have your home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report. This is a CMS requirement.
