Business Development Leader - CRS , Hydropower & Renewables

We are currently seeking a Business Development Leader – Construction & Restoration Systems (CRS) focusing on our Hydropower & Renewables product line. This role is responsible for driving strategic sales growth by developing key accounts, identifying and influencing project opportunities, and expanding market presence across the U.S. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, Technical Services, Marketing, and R&D to deliver innovative system solutions and strengthen MAPEI’s position within the construction and restoration markets. Responsibilities: Execute strategic sales and business development plans to drive profitable growth across assigned markets, product lines, and regions. Identify, develop, and track project opportunities; influence specifications and position MAPEI solutions early in the project lifecycle. Build and maintain strong relationships with AEC firms, design professionals, contractors, distributors, owners, and public authorities. Partner with Sales Representatives to deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative technical solutions. Conduct market analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive positioning. Support product launches and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with Product Line Management and R&D. Provide technical support through client education, jobsite visits, applicator training, and industry presentations (AIA/PDH). Expand networks of engineers, contractors, and industry influencers to increase market penetration and product specification. Represent MAPEI at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations. Collaborate cross-functionally to align strategy, share insights, and drive business results. Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures. Perform assigned tasks in conformance with procedures and instructions established in the Business Management System (BMS) and in compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. What's in it for you: In this role, you will earn a competitive salary between $90,000 and $110,000 based on your experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is a variable percentage of your base salary, based on individual performance and company results. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred; minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or technical sales within construction materials or a related industry. Strong experience within construction restoration systems or relevant product/market segments. Proven experience working with construction projects, specifications, and key industry stakeholders. Experience supporting product launches, technical presentations, or specification development preferred. Strong technical aptitude and consultative sales approach. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to travel as needed to support projects, customers, and industry events.
