Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Representative to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. This role involves working alternating weekends on a 4-day, 10-hour weekly schedule, with opportunities to work from home. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for preparing and supporting claimant profiles, assisting pharmacies with medication adjudication, and coordinating with clients, pharmacies, and claimants to ensure accurate medication benefits assignment.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepares, inputs, and supports claimant profiles in pharmacy network

  • Assists pharmacies in adjudication of claimant medications
  • Coordinates and liaises with client adjusters, pharmacies, and claimants to ensure accurate medication benefits assignment in multiple systems
  • Supports client needs on requirements for claimant medications with reporting and data
  • Manages and updates client and claimant information in multiple systems
  • Answers questions from claimants, adjusters, and pharmacies on topics related to claimant's current or previous medications
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

* 3+ years of related customer service or telephonic experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Familiarity with and experience working as part of a dedicated team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as letters and reports
  • Strong understanding of proper telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Exceptional editing, grammar, and spelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting

  • Familiarity with pharmacy software and systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Skills and Competencies

* Proficient in the use of computers, multiple software systems, and learning of new programs

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle and manage significant email and phone communications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adjust to changing processes and needs of various clients
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
