NYS Licensed Psychologist & Supervisor- Private Practice -100% Remote/Virtual therapy

Northeast Psychological Wellness is seeking a New York State licensed psychologist (PsyD or PhD) to provide teletherapy to the population of your choice based on age, presenting problems, etc. There is also an option provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists. This could be either a part-time or full-time position with flexible scheduling options. This is a fully remote position; therefore, employees are expected to work from their own home office and can reside outside of New York State. Northeast Psychological Wellness is a group practice located in New York. Our specialized services aim to empower clients and equip them with the tools to effectively cope with their struggles and lead more fulfilling lives. We provide psychotherapy to a diverse client population. Our clinicians specialize in the treatment of a variety of mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, PTSD, substance use, ADHD, grief, and disruptive behavioral problems. We provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy. We also offer clinicians the opportunity to develop a specialty, obtain training, and direct a specialized program within the organization. Ideal candidates will be those who are committed to providing excellent clinical services and are also aligned with the company’s vision of expanding our services and extending our reach to many more individuals in need of mental health treatment. We are looking for clinicians who are passionate about their clinical work and dedicated to continuing their professional growth. As much as we emphasize excellent client care, we also value our clinicians and provide a supportive and collaborative space for all of our providers. The clinical team consists of 18 therapists who meet weekly for two virtual staff meetings to discuss cases and present on educational topics. The clinical team participates in virtual and in-person team-building activities and social events throughout the year. We accept health insurance and help our clinicians get credentialed with various commercial insurance companies. Please note that this is a W2, not a 1099 position; therefore, you would be an employee as opposed to an independent contractor. Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide highly individualized and quality psychotherapy to adults and children/adolescents using various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or psychodynamic therapy
• Conduct intake evaluations with new clients
• Maintain accurate client records by completing succinct intake and progress notes in an easy-to-use EHR
• Assist with program development
• Facilitate presentations based on various mental health topics
• Attend weekly case consultation/staff meeting
• Provide weekly clinical supervision to pre-licensed providers as psychology postdoctoral fellows, mental health counselors with a limited permit, and social workers (optional)
• Facilitate group psychotherapy (optional)
• Provide couples and/or family therapy (optional)

Requirements:

• New York State license (PsyD or PhD)
• Expertise and experience in providing CBT, DBT, and/or psychodynamic therapy
• Adaptability
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
