Experienced Full Stack Data Analyst – Sports Information and Data Visualization

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our Details and Data Gathering team at arenaflex. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports information on our various platforms, including television broadcasts, digital media, and social channels. You'll work closely with our data feeds and manual data entry to deliver precise, convenient, and insightful sports information to our global audience.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the accuracy of sports information disseminated by our Details and Data team, including scores, schedules, standings, and other relevant data.
- Collaborate with our team to deliver precise and timely detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score, and other measurements and data to power our various ESPN products and productions.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of our team's role in fueling arenaflex's digital products and television productions.
- Conduct regular quality checks on your own work and that of your colleagues, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Contribute to the creation, tasks, and drives across the newsroom, supporting newsroom leaders who oversee full- and part-time staff.
- Anticipate potential issues, both short-term and long-term, and propose solutions. Communicate effectively with colleagues on these issues.
- Play an active role in working with colleagues to create or refine production processes.
- Participate actively in team and division meetings.
- Seek and respond to feedback on personal performance.
- Stay up-to-date on current office policies and procedures.
Required Skills:
* Working knowledge of sports teams, players, and game rules.
- Full-time availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports information driving arenaflex's digital and television products.
- Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production circumstances.
- Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Preferred Skills:
* 1 year of experience in sports or data analysis, preferably in media.
- Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and research purposes.
- Working knowledge of arenaflex products and productions.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
- Experience leading or training a team.
- Ability to speak and write Spanish.
- Experience using social media in a business or news context.
Education:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Work Environment:
* This is a part-time position, with a focus on late shifts, weekends, and holidays.
