Responsibilities
- Prepare and process bills from purchase orders and other approved bills.
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charges expenses to accounts, cost centers and locations by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
- Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal ID numbers; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.
- Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and reputed company transactions.
- Ability to process and follow-up on rush items.
- Maintains accounts payable files.
- 1099 preparation.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required 2-5 years’ experience general ledger
- Required 2-3 years’ experience MS reputed company and Word
- Required 3 years’ experience QuickBooks and/or reputed company
- Preferred Accounting/Business Degree
