Sales Manager - Away From Home

The AFH Area Sales Manager (ASM) plays a critical role as the field sales “general manager” of their market and leads the sales, people, and strategy for their geography. From a sales perspective, the ASM is responsible for delivering plan, sales growth, and specified AOP priorities. From a people perspective, the ASM will reputed company and reputed company a field sales team of Market Development Managers (MDMs) and Operator Territory Managers (OTMs). From a strategy perspective, the ASM is responsible for AOP planning as well as on-going analyses of their market trends to identify gaps in plan and execution. This role will cover a multi- state territory and report directly to the South region director. Ideally, the candidates must reside in or near Washington D.C.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plan, grow volume, increase sales, and drive key initiatives

• Accelerate AOP Priorities: Frito Lay, Quaker, Workplace, K12
• Prospect to secure new business to meet region’s new business reputed company
• Provide field knowledge and competitive information to Region Director and leadership team
• Coach and reputed company team on critical selling and leadership capabilities
• Collaborate with PBNA AFH selling teams to unlock Po1 opportunities
• Right-size resources reputed company the team to ensure adequate account coverage and service levels
• Support Region employee engagement and capability strategy to improve satisfaction, retention, labor relations, and diversity
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver Region objectives (HR, Finance, Supply Chain, National Account & Distributor Teams)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Foodservice or consumer packaged goods experience
• Solid leadership and interpersonal skills required
• Demonstrated analytical and math skills
• Demonstrated computer proficiency
• Demonstrated professionalism and dependability
• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills
• Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions
• Must be willing and able to lift 40 lbs. periodically
• Ability to travel approximately 40% - 60% of the week
