This role will work reputed company our AI Labs’ department which is an innovative team that will build and deploy leading AI-driven solutions to improve workflows common across both reputed company and the life sciences industry. The team partner and support the business in building best-in-class AI-driven solutions reputed company nothing suitable exists.

This role is to be based in Poland and will be fully home based (you will need to be located in Poland). This is an employment contract position (not B2B) and you will be working in an innovative and collaborative environment with international peers, colleagues and a supportive manager.

As the Machine Learning (ML) Engineer II you will possess a strong foundation in core ML principles, encompassing model training, evaluation, and deep learning concepts, with the ability to execute proofs of concept and contribute to architectural decisions. You will actively participate in team discussions, staying reputed company with ML developments and offering insights that drive project-level decisions and team learnings. You will demonstrate problem-solving skills, take on responsibilities reputed company projects, and contribute to the team's learning culture by producing educational content and participating in presentations or training sessions.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Training Machine Learning models

• Processing and understanding large datasets

• Optimizing ML algorithms for performance and scalability

• Integrating ML models into existing software applications 

• Collaborating with data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers

• Staying up to date with the latest ML technologies and best practices

• Following software engineering best practices 

Education: 

• Educated to Master’s or PhD level in engineering or computer science with a focus on Machine Learning (and NLP) or other equivalent qualification/experience. 

Skills: 

• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems .

• Advanced Python experience .

• Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Deep Learning, (building and deploying NLP systems).

• Theoretical and practical proficiency in probability, statistical NLP algorithms, and modern ML technologies, including: transformers, graphical models, information retrieval techniques, LLMs, time series models, Reinforcement Learning, etc.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills .

• A flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning .

• Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detail.

• Willingness to work in a team environment and to value the importance of teamwork.  Willingness to work in a matrix environment with a variety of nontechnical stakeholders and technical collaborators. 

Knowledge and Experience:  

• Previous intermediate level NLP Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer experience working in a commercial environment is essential.

• Advanced level experience with the following tools: Git, reputed company, scientific computing packages (Pytorch, Numpy, Tensorflow), AWS or Azure cloud platforms, JIRA, Confluence, reputed company. 

• High level expertise in the use of Python programming language is essential.

• Experience producing high quality code in a shared context 

• Up to date with state of the art in Machine Learning (and NLP techniques/models).

• Experience conducting and publishing research in Machine Learning/AI (NLP) preferred. 

• Good experience building small/reputed company ML projects  .
