We are looking for a Head of Category Management to join our Merchandising Team. This individual will report into our Vice President of Merchandising and will reputed company a team of Senior Category Managers, Category Managers, and Associates. This individual will provide strategic leadership for the Category Management function, overseeing category strategy, financial performance, vendor partnerships, and team development. They will also set long‑term team vision, drive enterprise‑level initiatives, and ensure category strategies align with organizational goals. This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, reputed company, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode reputed company, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY 6 times per year for internal meetings and team building activities. Additional travel may be required based on department and company needs. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits – our doors are always open.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST

Responsibilities

  • Vendor & Partner Strategy

    • Build relationships with key suppliers, industry partners, and executive‑level stakeholders
  • Financial & Market Leadership
    • Own category financial performance, including reputed company, margin, and profitability targets

    • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions
  • Cross‑Functional & Executive Influence

    • Present category strategies, business cases, and performance updates to executive leadership
    • Influence organizational priorities through data‑driven insights and strategic recommendations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a reputed company field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • ​A minimum of 8 years of experience in Merchandising and product development
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret data and reputed company informed recommendations
