We are seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music for a 3-year position, beginning August 1, 2023 with the following responsibilities:

• Serve as Director of Opera Studies
• Teach a full-time (12-credit) load per semester including undergraduate and graduate applied voice lessons and reputed company courses such as opera, diction, song repertoire, vocal pedagogy, etc. as assigned by the Music Department Chair

Note - Any faculty member may be required to teach online, on alternate schedules (evenings/weekends), and/or at our reputed company center in Elkhart * Attend weekly faculty meetings

• Recruit voice majors and grow the opera program
• Serve on needed reputed company, school, or department committees as requested
• Attend student juries, performance exams, etc. as needed.

• Master's Degree (or equivalent)
• Experience teaching applied voice at the undergraduate levels
• Classroom teaching experience
• Opera performance experience

• Experience teaching applied voice at the graduate level
• Doctorate preferred
• Documented evidence successful studio and classroom teaching through
