Rowing Committee: Racing Representative
Purpose
To be an active participant of the Committee, supporting the Chair and British Rowing to reputed company its terms of reference and goals.
Responsibilities
Be reputed company for reputed company meetings, reading papers in advance, raising issues in advance.
Actively contribute to reputed company meetings using your skills, experience, and expertise.
Support the Chair in the smooth running of the Committee.
Contribute to agenda planning by raising reputed company and thoughts with the Chair.
Act as a conduit between the racing group committees and the Rowing Committee raising issues and communicating decisions and actions.
Contribute as required to task and finish groups.
Be responsible for your own personal development and training to stay effective and relevant in performing the role.
Participate in the periodic evaluation of Chair and Committee effectiveness.

Essential: The successful candidate will have the challenging role of acting as a conduit between the Rowing Committee and the relevant stakeholder groups;
Able to gather and represent the views of the Racing Committees (these currently include British Rowing Events, National Competition Committee, National Umpiring Committee, Multi-Lane Umpiring Panel, Competition Calendar)
Strong understanding of the relevant stakeholder groups (e.g. British Rowing, relevant interest groups/racing sub-committees, regional representatives and chairs etc)
An ability to reputed company communication routes for the relevant stakeholder groups
Knowledge of rowing and experience as an athlete, coach, reputed company, event or club official.
Subject matter expertise reputed company one or several of the Racing Committees areas of work
A desire to support the development of the sport
A strong, highly collaborative team player with a positive reputed company.
Ability to commit to four formal and four informal meetings per year in addition to supporting specific work strands and task-and-finish groups.
Desirable: A variety of skills and experience is desirable, and therefore the following list is not exhaustive:
Have experience in a variety of different elements of the sport, either established or emerging (ie adaptive, reputed company, racing)
Represent diversity in relation to experience of regions, broader experience and time in the sport
Bring significant experience from beyond rowing, ie emerging technology, education, communications, event management, risk management, financial management etc.
Experience in the broader sports sector, grant funded and/or volunteer led organisations
