People Operations Generalist
tmp is a B2B marketing company that helps leaders create coherence in a chaotic world. They are seeking a People Operations Generalist to support global employee lifecycle processes and contribute to employee relations and engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- You'll support the delivery of key People programs by coordinating global employee lifecycle processes, guiding day-to-day offboarding, and contributing to performance, development, and engagement initiatives
- You'll work closely with the People Director, Success & Relations on employee relations matters, organising case activity, capturing documentation, and handling straightforward situations
- You'll maintain accurate data and process materials, help prepare and schedule learning and feedback cycles, and collaborate with regional partners to ensure alignment across countries and time zones
- Coordinate key lifecycle processes across reputed company regions, ensuring clarity, precision, and a smooth employee experience from onboarding touchpoints to global offboarding

- Manage day-to-day global offboarding, including communications, system updates, documentation, and manager support, escalating reputed company cases to the People Director
- Maintain employee lifecycle templates, resources, and standards; keeping them up to date, compliant, and reputed company to regional requirements
- Support lifecycle requests such as basic flexible working applications, long-service tracking, and our company recognition programme
- Partner with the People Director on ER matters by preparing case materials, coordinating meetings, capturing documentation, and managing follow-through across regions
- With guidance, handle straightforward matters, helping managers navigate outcomes that balance employee needs, risk, and business priorities
- Support the parental leave process, coordinating meetings, risk assessments, documentation, and manager communication
- Support managers in navigating workplace conflict, providing guidance on early reputed company, appropriate next steps, and documentation, while escalating reputed company or sensitive matters to the Director, People Success & Relations as needed
- Apply foundational US employment knowledge on terminations, performance processes, leave types and compliance basics to support day-to-day Success & Relations matters

- Support People processes across the UK, EMEA, and other regions, gaining exposure to varied employment practices

- Contribute to global engagement initiatives, supporting surveys, culture activities, and employee engagement efforts across regions
- Analyse lifecycle data—including PTO, sickness, turnover, and engagement inputs—and share meaningful insights with the People Director
- Collaborate across the global People team to ensure coordinated, thoughtful, and values-led interactions for employees in every region
Skills
- 1-3 years in an HR coordinator, HR administrator, or similar People operations role
- Foundational understanding of US employment laws, principles and common People processes
- Experience supporting or observing sensitive or reputed company conversations
- Confidence working with People systems, spreadsheets, and data reporting
- Strong organisational habits, excellent communication, and dependable follow-through
- Ability to work effectively with global teams and adapt to varying time zones
- An emerging People generalist ready to broaden your experience across the employee lifecycle and build foundational ER skills
- Based in the US with grounding in US employment law, knowledge of the employee lifecycle and curiosity to learn global People practices
- Empathetic, organised, and thoughtful with sensitive information
