Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Support Representative on our Specialty Testing team, you'll be responsible for:

• Providing exceptional customer service to patients and clients over the phone, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner
• Researching and communicating reputed company information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring that patients and clients have a thorough understanding of their health insurance coverage, cost, and payment options
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve reimbursement opportunities and ensure that patients and clients receive the care they need
• Receiving and processing credit card payments over the phone, adhering to PCI compliance protocols
• Initiating payment plans for patients with outstanding balances
• Documenting telephone conversations clearly and accurately in the respective systems
• Updating and maintaining records in the billing system, including the review of accounts, payment collections, and case notes
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations
• Assisting with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• An Associate's degree or higher, or a High School diploma/GED equivalent with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Prior healthcare experience, with a strong preference for professional medical billing and collection practices
• Ability to interpret and apply understanding of insurance explanation of benefits (EOB)
• Previous customer service experience handling high call volume
• Medicare/Medicaid billing experience
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes
• Experience with Laboratory Billing and Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• Working knowledge of prior authorization
• Understanding of Women's Health & Genetics Moms Helping Moms of reputed company processes
• XIFIN experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow established program protocols and procedures
• Ability to review large amounts of data for accuracy
• Must be organized and detail-oriented
• Computer proficiency in MS Windows, MS Office, and database experience

Physical Requirements

This role requires:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Remote Technical Requirements

To work from home, you'll need:

• Internet speed of at least 50 megabytes per second
• Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord
• Equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi or satellite internet
