[Remote] reputed company Settings Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers, and they are seeking a reputed company Settings Engineer for their Power Delivery Solutions division. The role involves working with protection engineers, performing quality reviews on reputed company setting packages, and supporting project planning activities for utility substation and renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Work with protection engineers and reputed company quality reviews on reputed company setting packages
- Create logic diagrams for IEC61850 substations
- Work directly with clients as well as other staff in reputed company locations
- Support a full range of project planning activities through design and construction support
- Prepare reputed company settings from 4.16kV through 500kV including reputed company set points, logic diagrams, configuration files and documentation
- Solve challenging substation engineering problems
Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and internship experience
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and three plus years of reputed company experience
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites and in-office / testing lab as needed
- Experience creating reputed company settings and logic diagrams
- Capable of understanding Aspen OneLiner and/or Siemen's reputed company for coordination studies and fault study analysis
- Preparation of reputed company reputed company coordination studies
- Ability to learn development of reputed company settings for microprocessor relays including: SEL, Alstom, GE, reputed company and others for both transmission line relays (Line Differential, reputed company Distance and Pilot Schemes) and substation relays (Capacitors, Transformers and buses)
- Familiarity with Schweitzer AcSELerator QuickSet, General Electric EnerVista and reputed company MiCOM software is a plus
- Strong engineering and interpersonal skills and high attention to detail with a passion for quality
- Experience implementing control and protection schemes including interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams and preparing reputed company logic to complete the schemes
- Experience preparing technical reports
- Experience understanding power system protection
- Ability to travel overnight on occasional basis
- Ability to effectively work in a fast paced team environment
- EIT/PE License
