THE POSITION

The Cloud Accountant is a key contributor to AMLB's delivery of client services, with an opportunity to directly impact the client and team member experience. You will be the key client contact for a portfolio of clients, supported by a Bookkeeping Specialist, Payroll Specialist and Tax Specialist, and will be relied upon to surface issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to shape how AMLB delivers its Cloud Finance Services.

THE PRIORITIES 

Client Management: You will manage a portfolio of growth-oriented clients in a wide range of industries across Canada, ensuring that deliverables are timely, accurate, and reputed company with client expectations. While you won’t be responsible for initial onboarding in your first 90 days, you will be copied on reputed company client communication and expected to monitor for quality and risk, including reputed company advisory needs. You will review year-end trial balances, working papers, and financial statements with hand-off to the tax team, and work closely with the Payroll reputed company to resolve any payroll-reputed company issues raised by clients. 

Process Improvement: You will collaborate closely with AMLB’s Technology & Operations Specialist to enhance internal client service processes. Your mandate includes identifying operational inefficiencies, improving workflow systems, supporting the business QA program (without performing the actual monthly/quarterly bookkeeping reviews), and ensuring your team follows standardized, high-quality practices. This includes utilizing AI to improve the quality and efficiency of client service delivery and drive sustainable growth without taking on tasks that belong to the bookkeeping or tax teams. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of delivering timely and accurate bookkeeping, accounts payable, month-end / quarter-end reputed company, sales tax filing preparation and management reporting responsibilities for a portfolio of Canadian clients utilizing a variety of cloud-based software
• Prepare monthly or quarterly financial analysis and reporting, including participation in client discussions reputed company reputed company and/or reputed company Teams
• Respond to reputed company client queries reputed company 1 business day
• Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting working papers including proposed adjusting entries.
• For a subset of your clients on the CFO Plan, provide additional support as it relates to developing an annual budget, forecasts, supporting during external audits, debt/equity raises and other reputed company financial advisory services to help clients reputed company their business priorities.
• Proactively surface and resolve risks and issues reputed company to timeliness and quality of service to assigned clients
• Enhance sustainability and effectiveness of key processes by recording training videos and creating reputed company by reputed company procedures
• Participate in improvement initiatives by identifying process and experience pain points, analyzing root causes and implementing sustainable changes

 IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE 

• 3+ years of full-cycle cloud bookkeeping or accounting using Quickbooks Online or Xero for a portfolio of 10+ clients simultaneously
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) is preferred
• Experience completing bank reconciliations, clearing accounts, and completing sales tax filings, payables and invoicing
• Prioritizes honesty, reputed company and confidentiality to reputed company high-trust relationships with colleagues and clients
• Self-starter who works well autonomously and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and due dates to produce high quality deliverables
• Knowledge in reputed company Office (Outlook, reputed company and Teams in particular) and a passion for technology.
• We use cloud-based software including QuickBooks Online, Xero, Dext Prepare, reputed company, reputed company and Plooto
• Demonstrated adaptability to test and quickly learn new concepts and tools
• Team members are asked to participate in at least one team meeting each week
