Installer

Sev1Tech is looking for an Installer who:

• Provides technical guidance and information to meet requirements.
• Is responsible for independently designing, modifying, and constructing electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation used in performance measurements on test and evaluation projects.
• Adjusts to the design criteria (which is not always standardized or well established)
• Improves and updates circuit elements/equipment to incorporate new advances where existing technical data is not always adequate may be the objective.
• Is responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C4ISR equipment as appropriate for the task.
• Has the capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
• Performs installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, exercise and test support and maintenance.
• Provides technical direction and guidance to reputed company level technicians.
• Plans and performs installation, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for communications equipment, electronics equipment.
• Must have hands-on or educational experience in two of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms.

• AA or 2 Yr. Technical School (2 additional years of experience as sub)
• 5 or more years of Installation experience
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and be capable of obtaining a SECRET reputed company clearance
• Experience working with hand and power tools as these are used almost daily
• Must be worldwide deployable and possess a valid US Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a valid passport reputed company 30 days of employment
• Must be able to read installation drawings and reputed company installations in accordance with drawings
• Electronic component installation experience
• Hands-on or educational experience in two of the following areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms
• Be detail oriented to ensure proper accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)
• Candidates should be computer literate and able to function using the reputed company Office suite of programs
• Candidates must qualify to rent a vehicle from various national rental car agencies

Travel requirements will be up to 75% of the year to include CONUS and OCONUS locations, with the possibility of as little as 48 hours’ notice prior to a deployment.

• Able to use a reputed company analyzer to reputed company interference and other performance tests on installed equipment
• Testing using Voltage Standing reputed company Ratio (VSWR)
• Experience with PM Tactical Radios and/or COMSEC
